A little reassurance from /soc/ for Shea.

So methadone is used as a prescription medication to help people suffering from heroin addiction. They get it in a daily dose as either a liquid or pill, and ideally it’ll keep them from having cravings to use heroin in that time. This has been a tried and true method of helping addicts ween themselves off heroin and have some semblance of a normal life. Methadone helps save lives.

One potential side effect of methadone that some patients experience either sizable weight gain, or a craving for sugary things which in turn causes weight gain. And if you’ve been slim and trim like Shea has been since at least high school, suddenly gaining 40, 50, 60 pounds is a bit of a shock. Lately Shea has been frustrated because even tho she knows getting clean via methadone is for the ultimate better of her life and health (especially now that she’s 40) the weight gain has made her hate her body like never before.

So Shea decides to post a few photos of her on 4chan/soc/ in order to fish for some negative feedback… but it kinda backfires because they’re into chubby women like Shea. There’s even the Chubby Girl Thread (/cgt/) who would treat chubby Shea like a goddess: you can see some of the comments she got. What a bunch of pervs… but maybe she can live with the way she looks, for now at least.
