Moose River Regular – [15] When Avery met Annie

Ah yes, Denny’s. Truly the best restaurant in the whole world. I’m serious. This is a great place to chill out after a night of drinking and partying, and their food always hits the spot. But ultimately I chose to change it in the main series, because I wanted to keep things 100% owned by me.

Yet again, the main series takes some cues from Moose River Regular, albeit in different ways. The restaurant scene occurs in the beginning of the main series—whereas Mr. Whiskers took place later in Chapter 2—and it was Anne, not Avery, who connects first. Another change was how they connected not on LiveJournal, but on a far more modern social media platform: MySpace. I’ll probably keep that in whatever updates I do to older Moose River pages, but I might also make some minor changes to make it a bit more generic looking, but still clearly “social media”.

One joke I never did get around to reusing was Anne’s “AngelGrrl aNgElGrRlL” username and other personal data alterations. And by amazing coincidence, Anne’s “birthday” is the same as the day I’ve placed this page on: September 15th.
