Ack Nooo! I’m Slipping!!

October 2nd, 2008

Flargh! Bad news on the me front! Now while I was barely able to work out three comics a week during my previous work/school schedule, there’s been a slight change in that plan.

OK since school started I’ve been working two 7am to 3pm shifts a week. One of those shifts is on a Monday, which also includes classes from 4pm to 10pm. I was given those shifts after the previous worker of those shifts had semi-retired and went from five days a week to just three. Well just recently that person apparently got into an accident and broke their heal and will require surgery, which would prevent them from working. Now because I’m like one of the only people open to work those 7am to 3pm shifts, combined with the fact that I desperately need cash, I opted to pick some extra shifts. To which, this next work week (starting today, Friday), I’m working/schooling:

Friday: Work 7a-3p
Sat: Work 1p-9p
Sun: Off (Thank God, literally)
Mon: Work 7a-3p, School 4p-10p
Tues: Work 7a-11a, School 4p-10p(ish)
Wed: Work 7a-3p
Thurs: Work 7a-3p, School 4p-7p

And considering that that coworker of mine will probably be out for a while, I can imagine that the week after next will be walled up just as much. In the end this means my free time will be severely constricted. To make matters worse, school has this little thing called “homework” which means my free time is reduced by that much more.

So what does this mean to you guys? Looks like I’m gonna have a hard time trying to finish the rest of Chapter Six on time. But I’m gonna try to spend every waking moment not working, schooling, homeworking or sleeping on Moose River. Maybe Sunday will be Moose River day where I crank out as many pages as humanly possible. Another upside is that I’ll at least get my birthday (the 20th) off from work, so at least I’ll have one extra day to work on pages. Hopefully things work out in the end though!! Wish me luck!
