Moose River Book Cover
September 19th, 2007( Old book covers )
After seeing some old book covers hung up at a local Barnes & Nobels, I’ve been thinking about redesigning the cover of Moose River book one (and subsequent books thereafter) to look more like an old book. Something like straight out of the 40’s or so. What do you think? Does anyone have any book covers that are particularlly inspiring?

That would be kind of cool.Only because your first batch of books that you hand bound with the current cover would technically become a “COLLECTOR’S ITEM” : )!

Variant covers rock. Just ask DC, Marvel and TV Guide.
Still like the current cover. Nice colors. By the same token, the whole strip isn’t just about Emo…

SADGIRL: Well, the fact that the copy you happen to have is also from the FIRST print run, that’ll make it worth that much more. 🙂
TOM: I’m not trying for “variant” covers (what a lame marketing technique, but that’s a debate for another time). Thing is, I’m still learning the whole comic production thing, so you’re just seeing me work out different, more effective cover designs. When the final nine chapter book is completed, I should have a cover design that I like, is eye catching, and helps sum up the entire story in a single visual representation. 🙂
