Well, two days behind schedule and a glop of elbow grease later, the Moose River book is done! These are the first/only seven copies I have made up at present, hopefully I won’t sell out of them tomorrow at FanimeCon (I’m actually surprized to see the amount of interest people have had in the book). I still have eight copies that I’ve folded but haven’t sewn yet, but I’ll take care of that tomorrow. Hopefully I can get more copies folded and sewn once those other eight are done.
These copies will be on sale tomorrow for $10.
Incidentally, I’m now sold out of Moose River Deluxe! The guy who took the last copy will, interestingly enough, probably end up being the first guy to pick up a copy of the book. How fitting.
The computer I’ve been using to make all my comics on is 25% dead. 75% of it is ok, and I didn’t lose any of my originals (thank God), but some of the 25% that’s currently dead is important to my comicing. Which means that I can’t get to any new comics.
To get technical, the main hard drive of my computer is physically shot; it keeps making clicking noises which is the sign of a dead hard drive. However, I found out that A cure for a dead hard drive is sticking it in the freezer, so that’s where it is at the moment. Hopefully it’ll work long enough for me to grab all the important information from it before I scuttle the drive.
Until then… [fingers crossed]
Now that I’ve finished my revisions, I’m starting to get the ball rolling on getting an actual book together of my work. However, I want to have more than just the first 103 pages I’ve done in the book, so I’m gonna add some of your GUEST COMICS into it! Nifty, huh?
I do want to start getting my book officially together WAY before FanimeCon, which starts on the 25th. So if you’re interested in getting a comic in, please send it in before May 19th! This’ll give me time to do all the layout and get copies printed up and bounded in time for FanimeCon. If you don’t have it in by then, then I won’t be able to add it to the final product!
Oh, and it doesn’t necessairly have to be a comic per se, any piece of work will do nicely. OK?
I look forward to seeing what you send me!!
