About Moose River VR

Moose River VR is the next stage in the Moose River series, which will be released as a “virtual reality comic” (or “VR comic”).

But what exactly is a “VR comic”? To be honest, I don’t know. No one knows; “VR comics” actually don’t exist yet. It needs someone to invent it, to set the rules and format for it… and that’s what I’m aiming to do myself. In that case, Moose River VR will be the world’s first “virtual reality comic” series, something that I hope will inspire others to follow as well.

Currently the plan for Moose River VR is to create five different stories, one for each of the main characters of Moose River: Avery, Anne, Shea, Emo, and Betty. The “present day” for MRVR will be approximately 10 years after the very last Moose River comic I released back in 2009 (Page 203), although not all the stories will take place in the “present”. In fact, Moose River VR will in turn take the place of the incomplete Moose River Book 3 (intended to cover Chapters 7-9). However, while Book 3 will remain incomplete, the story elements I had intended for those chapters will at least be utilized in Moose River VR, so at least not all is lost. So in a sense Moose River VR can be considered as the official sequel to the original Moose River series, and I may still be able to figure out a way to release Moose River VR in a graphic novel format. We’ll see.

Because I only just started the Moose River VR project, to say nothing about the fact that I only just recently resurrected the Moose River website to begin with, WHAT exactly I have planned for the series is still spotty at best. I do however have written up two different posts covering my current plan of action, which you can read here:

Again, as of July 1st, 2019, I don’t have much of anything to show beyond some sketches I drew up and shared on Instagram. You can view all my Moose River VR-related work by clicking on the link for the Moose River VR category.

I hope this project is a success and I look forward to your interest and support in the coming months. Thanks!
