Keep an eye out at Sudden Valley in the next few days as a guest comic of mine will (eventually) appear on the site! Nifty swell!

I got sidetracked Sunday, so I wasn’t able to put pencil to paper to make a comic for Monday. I do have Monday-day off, so I’ll work on the next page and post it posthaste. I’m sleepy. What I posted This is something my friend Martin got for me. I previously posted about the series Tales of Mere Existence by Lev Yilmaz. Lev is a relatively regular patron where Martin works, so he introduced Martin to it who in turn introduced me to it. I in turn genuinely fell in love with Lev’s work and is now an important source of inspiration for me. So it came as a pleasant surprise to me when Martin managed to get this little scrap of paper. Pretty nifty, huh? Thanks Lev!
I’m sooooo sleepy…
Ok I’m gonna share some thoughts with you.
1. I’m disappointed with the idea that Warner Brothers is going to make a live action version of the manga series and anime feature Akira. That alone is bad enough… but what pours salt in the wound is that they’re going to Americanize Akira. For example, the movie will take place not in Neo Tokyo but in “New Manhattan”. I guess Warner Brothers was above using something lame like “Neo New York”. [rolls eyes]
2. I’m totally in love with this DS game called Orcs & Elves, if only because it’s an absolute old skool RPG, complete with Wolfenstein 3D-esque graphics. Anyone who doesn’t like this game never grew up with old skool computer RPGs, or had after-school sessions with Wolfenstein 3D.
3. I’ve been writing up some poetry in my Creative Writing classes. It’s nothing special but it’s some material I’ve written that you readers probably have never read (provided you guys never pop by my LiveJournal).
OK so I didn’t exactly post this “later today” on Monday, but here is Monday’s comic regardless. It does not need to be mentioned, but I will anyways… yes, there will be a comic on Friday, as it should be.
I’ve also come to realize that I’m about halfway done with Moose River. Like, halfway done with the entire story, to which its completion will mean I can finally compile the pages into a single whole book. Nifty, huh?
Double comics on Monday and I mean it! This is what I’m posting now, and the second one will be up later today. OK?
