ムース川の日本 – DIY Robotics

Sunday, February 27th, 2005

If you can’t read it, the robot is a “Nuclear Powered, Isotopic J4M-3 Combat Robot With A Duotomically Charged Magnetic Restrained Aiming Circuit and an EMP-Locked Hyper-Cooled Fusion Generation Core Unit”.

Some interesting comics I found:

How Not To Run A Comic – Guides to how not to run a comic. I plan on contributing to this one, maybe using sacraficing my Muusu-gawa no Nihon characters.

EvaComics.com – An interestingly humourous comic about what happened after End of Evangelion.

Don’t worry, you’ll only have to put up with MRJ for another… three comics. :)

fanglefish (Feb 28, 2006, 16:19):
I like this comic but I miss MRR :(

Plippy (Feb 27, 2006, 4:04):
Oops, Baita’s text is a bit too small. I’ll fix that later. In the mean time, just use the “enlarge this comic” function if you can’t read what she says. :)

All too easy.

Ok guys, after droppin’ acid last night, I kinda got the answer I needed concerning why psudo-manga gaming webcomics are popular (aptly from a wiseman on the top of a mountain). Having said that, I’m gonna 1) finish Muusugawa no Nihon on page 14 as opposed to 18, and 2) rewrite the intro I gave to this story to be less complaining and more tomfoolery, claiming I’ve decided to change my style and format. :) … By the end of this week, though, things’ll be back to normal. Thank you for your patience while I finish ejaculating this side story. :)

Plippy (Feb 25, 2006, 3:10):
Since school + money work > comic work, I haven’t been able to get comics in these past few days. So… sit tight for now. Sorry.

vio (Feb 24, 2006, 17:46):
in its own sense muusu-gawa no nihon is hilairous :D
but mrr is awesome-er xD -squee-

I wish swords went through MY head. :( (Feb 23, 2006, 5:06):
Say something about this comic! (BTW, IP addresss will be recorded and spam will be deleted. I may also use these comments for something in the future.)

Try and guess today’s cliché.
Oh and sorry about the lack of a comic yesterday. But I guarentee one tomorrow and… for the rest of the week too. :)

Which is rather funny, since she’s Chinese…

dark panties means sex

Plippy (Feb 22, 2006, 15:02):
TImbosister: Yatta = “I did it!”. If you’ve ever played Street Fighter 2, it’s what Chun Li says when she wins.

Vlad Damien (Feb 22, 2006, 8:37):
Hooray for unnecessary fan service…

Timbosister (Feb 22, 2006, 8:06):
I am learning so many new things from Moose River. Yatta? More like awesome.
or whatever.

OK uhm… after a lengthy conversation with my friend Jimmy concerning a few things about Muusugawa no Nihon, I feel inclined to clear a few things up about it.

Muusugawa no Nihon, if you can’t tell already, is straight up satire on the psudo-manga/gamer web comic format. It is not meant to try to get people to stop doing it, nor do I expect anyone to even read this for it to matter. However, it still doesn’t mean I shouldn’t be allowed to voice my opinions on the issue nor do a comic about it, regardless of its ineffectiveness. I guess people can argue that it’s a waste of my time to do it, but hey, it’s not like I’ve got anything better to do. … Oh yeah, I COULD be doing Moose River Regular instead. Oh well.

OK FINE, I’ll also admit that I’m taking the oppurtunity to experiment with changes in my comic writing style. As you may notice, Muusugawa no Nihon’s comic frames are different than Moose River Regular’s. It’s probably not something I’m gonna use much in MRR, but I think I’ll use it in one of my future Moose River projects.

Oh and I do want to point out that this won’t be the last experiment I’ll be doing of this nature. Though next time, I promise myself that I’ll be far more discrete about its true intentions that I have been about Muusugawa no Nihon. It’s difficult to test a theory when everyone knows its true reasons. :)

It’s cool.

Y’know, in retrospect, I should have used Haisha for this scene and not Chijin. Oh well.

Oh and folks, swing by the Shop page, I added the cover for the (inevitable) Muusugawa no Nihon mini-comic.
